As an approved first aid training provider with the Health and Safety Executive( HSE) we are able to offer this course which is now regulated by the HSE since Oct 2009

The one day (6 hour) course covers:
- Emergency management
- Dealing with an unconscious casualty
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Managing wounds and bleeding
- Dealing with injuries such as burns, electrocution, fractures and eye injuries.
This syllabus is set and regualted by the HSE. If you require additions to the syllabus these can be added on to the delivery time.
For example if you have a colleague who is diabetic it would be worthwhile adding this to the course so that the first aiders know how to deal with a diabetic emergency.

Q Is there an exam?
A No. Continuous assessment is used throughout the day with a short quiz at the end.
Q What do I receive?
A Students will receive a first aid manual, CPR poster to display in the workplace and a certificate confirming their competence as an Emergency First Aider. Certificates are valid for 3 years

Q Where are the courses held?
A Small numbers can be trained at your workplace. We have successfully held courses at hairdressers, beauty salons and pubs!

Leave the M65 at jnct 6 follow signs for ring road & Clitheroe
Turn left at first traffic lights onto Blakewater road
Follow road to the end at junction with roundabout at Philips Rd. (metal tree in centre of roundabout) Turn left onto Philips Rd and then next left into Bizspace Car park. You have reached your venue, the entrance is on Philips Road, look for the First Aid Sign, you will be greeted at the door.
